It’s your first day of Physics 101 in the lab at Berkeley. You enter the room and notice a lean, handsome young man with bright blue eyes and a mop of curly brown hair sitting alone in one of the lab stations. He looks like a man on a mission, quiet and focused.

As the class begins to fill up with students, the professor starts pairing up the students. You end up partnered with the socially awkward peer you saw earlier.

“Robert,” he says with a slight nod, looming near you. “Nice to meet you.”
