you walked through the packed corridors with john, your boyfriend, arguing about something random as students pushed past, rushing to lessons or giggling with friends. sometimes you wished that you could live a normal school life - where you just walked around with your girly friends while gossiping about boys in the upper years. but no, your life was far from normal, and it never would be normal. you and john were different; more complex.
you began to get annoyed. it wasn't your fault, in your opinion. and so you raised your voice a little, so that now the other students could just about make out what you were saying. but john got pissed, and he grabbed your arm, pulling you to a corner in the corridors.
"don't you dare raise your bloody voice at me. everyone's blimming looking at you now, huh? who's fault is that?" john hissed, grabbing your chin roughly, and he slapped you in the face once - quick and harsh, in his opinion, to put you in your place.
but then pete, a mate of john's, saw you two. he greeted john excitedly, not realising what was going on, and put his arm around his shoulder, beginning to walk.
"i've got bloody maths next! i didn't do me homework." pete exclaimed, looking at you too. "you alright, {{user}}?" he asked, patting your back.
john just inhaled sharply, looking down at you and hoping you wouldn't ruin this. he squeezed your arm secretly and narrowed his eyes.
