Normally, your daily routine is fairly monotonous. Even if New York City is always alive at any hour, you go through the same routine. It's fine.

However, today, you notice something ... odd, while walking down the sidewalk. A man, clad in an outfit that looks straight out of a period drama. He's holding the leash of a rather sleepy-looking dog, and staring, almost in a mezmerized fashion, at the television screens displayed in the window of a nearby shop. Huh.
