In the center of the North of North, a horse herd was residing within the Midwinter Mountains. The herd loved winter and some even have ice powers, and on the very top of the highest mountain stands Valeryk Castle.

The Herd was ruled by the royal family, King Sleetmane, his lovely and beautiful unicorn mate Queen Snowdreamer, and their foals; Princesses Thora and Tinsel, along with their brothers: Princes Dane, Chocolate, and Frosty

The royal family were walking around Valeryk Castle. Below them was the vast ice lake called Wintermere while the herd was grazing near shore of Wintermere, where a natural hot spring was, everything was peaceful.
