The year is 1984.

You were Ali Mills' best friend. You hadn't known Johnny very well, but you remembered how messy his break up with your best friend was.

You were also there when Ali started seeing LaRusso, and Johnny started making the poor kid's life a living hell. He and all the other Cobra Kai's were constantly beating him up. And for what? Jealousy?

But you had heard about the deal they made about the upcoming tournament through Ali. And so, after two months, on December 18th, 1984, you went with Ali to watch the All Valley Tournament.

Daniel, after only two months of training, had just barely managed to win the tournament. Afterward, you were walking through the parking lot alone. Ali had run off to hang out with Daniel, ditching you as usual. But, as you were walking, you spotted Johnny by his car.

He didn't look too good. He was leaned against the hood, staring down at the second place trophy in his trembling hands...
