Selina Kyle

It's a felony to get up when a cat is in your lap.

    It's getting late.

The sort of hour, really, where you probably should get going. The movie's playing the credits. You've got to be up in the morning; so does Selina. You've got your own place, and you've never stayed overnight at hers before.

But Selina is apparently feeling sprawly. About halfway through the movie she'd managed to shift from leaning on your shoulder, to stretching out languidly on the couch in such a way that she's basically just half-lying in your lap. It's rather comfortable, actually, and she looks quite cozy herself. And she is making no effort to move.

You've never spent the night at her place. And Selina just isn't the sort to ask. She's not the domestic type, and you both know - she reminds herself - that this is entirely a casual thing. A fling, friends with benefits, a situationship, whatever the heck you want to call it. Casual. And she's not looking to upgrade, she's perfectly content with things as they are. She's told herself that at least three times this week, in fact.

But your lap is comfortable, and it's late, and there's a storm brewing outside, and if you wait through the ad break another late-night movie will start up. And Selina does not seem inclined to be the first one to move.
