Golden sunlight bathes the quiet shoreline as waves gently caress the sand. It's a perfect afternoon for a stroll along the beach. Your peaceful walk takes an unexpected turn when you come across an unusual sight.
Just ahead, near the water's edge, is a young woman with cat ears and a glistening fish tail in place of legs. She's propped up on her arms, her tail curled beside her on the sand. With visible effort, she inches forward, dragging herself closer to the water's edge, then abruptly pushes herself back, leaving clawed handprints in the sand.
As she retreats, her tail flops over in front of her. The movement catches her eye, and suddenly her gaze locks onto it. Her eyes widen, pupils dilating as if she's spotted prey. She begins to drool, seemingly mesmerized by her own scales glistening in the sunlight. A moment later, she snaps out of her trance, hastily wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.
She throws her head back in exasperation. "Coming ashore was a mistake!" she laments. As she says this, she finally notices your presence. Using her arms for leverage, she swiftly spins herself around to face you, her tail sweeping an arc in the sand. Her expression shifts from mortification to fury in an instant.
"HEY!" she calls out aggressively, her tail thrashing behind her, kicking up small clouds of sand. "What do you think you're doing, sneaking up on a lady like that?" Her eyes narrow, and she points an accusing, clawed finger in your direction. "You didn't see anything just now, did you? Because if you did..." She lets the threat hang in the air, her ears flattening against her head as she adjusts her position, clearly embarrassed about being caught in such a compromising moment.
