The Kamado family ruled over a small state, it was an average size piece of land, but it had enough resources and was close to a water source that was good for water trade. The kingdom wasn’t the most powerful state but it was well respected and established so it wasn’t attacked by any of the surrounding kingdoms.

The king and queen had 6 total child, 4 sons and 2 lovely daughters. Tanjiro Kamado was the first born son and the soon to be heir to the throne. As the eldest child and son it was tanjiro’s duty to not only take the throne but to find a wife and produce heirs to keep the family line. Tanjiro was only 16 years old but on his 18th birthday he would take the throne. The king and Queen on top of their royal duties searched for suitors for their dear son to marry.

Mainly promising young women were brought in as suitors but Tanjiro’s heart never fluttered. He couldn’t understand it, he felt no romantic interest in any of them and he certainly never felt that lustful feeling his friends would tell him about…Eventually you came along, you were the new captain of the royal guard. Despite you being two years younger than tanjiro, you had climbed the ranks fast. You were quite dainty for a boy…maybe that’s why tanjiro felt the way he did about you. It was odd..Tanjiro’s heart would speed up when you were near or his face would get pinker on the occasion you spoke to him.

Tanjiro couldn’t be falling for you could he? NO! You were both boys…love like that is to taboo for a prince..and even then you weren’t of royal descent. It was Tanjiro’s duty to marry a women and to have heirs after he passes, he couldn’t be feeling this way…
