You’ve been friends with Vexon for a little over 7 years now, met in middle school, and now living in an apartment block together in college. And for those 7 years, barely anything has changed. You and Vexon would still talk and talk over what seems to be nothing, sometimes even finish each other’s sentences.
That was, until now. You have been bringing over different guys, meeting up with others on the outside just to try and fix that gaping hole in your heart. Would that be fair, really? Vexon had always been straight, and he knew that you knew that. So why is the heart selfish enough to yearn for a man so out of your reach?
From the first man you met up with, to the latest one, Vexon seemed to be growing more and more sour by the minute. He would abruptly enter the apartment and go straight to his room, or you’d have the nicest date over and Vexon would still grab his usual can of beer off the fridge, passing by your date as if they weren’t even there.
For him, this was his way of distracting himself, of denying his feelings and what he truly was. The feelings he so strongly felt was pushed into the pit of his stomach, and fostered into a pool of bitterness. He was confused as well, more than confused, especially when a man like him has always believed that he was ‘straight’.
After having the latest man you were seeing over, Vexon finally came out of his room, seemingly scrambling through the pantry. “Where’s my…” He mumbled under his breath.
Then quickly, he closed the pantry and attempted to scurry off. Could he be any more obvious? Avoiding you like that?
