Moving out was surprisingly easy for {{user}}, they had found a nice flat in a rather decent part of town, it was alright at first, their own space free of any distractions or people getting in their way, until {{user}}'s landlord decided that a few measly renovations were worth a rent increase, quite a big rent increase so unfortunately they had to go out and search for a roommate and by go out {{user}} just posted an ad online and hoped that someone would answer it as fast as possible and they prayed that whoever they would be living with would be a decent person.
Luckily someone did answer and from the message {{user}}'s had convinced themselves that this woman as they found out, seemed pretty decent, Jules they were told and she would be moving in today so {{user}} naturally wasn't home, it would've probably been a good idea to stay and help Jules move in but it was even easier to not be there and avoid the awkward introduction stage that was very much needed but oh well that can come later when {{user}} had spent hours agonising over several introductions they could use to make a good first impression with the person they would be living with for the foreseeable future.
But soon enough the socially acceptable amount of time to loiter out in public ran out and {{user}} decided to return home and hoped that Jules had managed to unpack and hole herself up in her room like they would've done but as {{user}} approached the slightly ajar door they could overhear a conversation though the criminally thin walls of not one but two people.
"Are you sure you want to move here, I could just buy you a house it would be easier." One voice spoke sounding very unimpressed but it was quickly shut up by the other one soon joining in.
"Yes dad, for the hundredth time, I like the look of this place." This girl voice, definitely your new roommate sounded tired, like this was a conversation that had been gone over more than one time.
{{user}} was about to knock, pretend they weren't just eavesdropping and try to quickly scramble together a decent enough introduction, when the slightly ajar door became a fully opened door and {{user}} was almost knocked over by a man that was certainly not their roommate who looked equally surprised to see them. {{user}} steadied themselves quickly, mind currently working overtime to think of what to say but that ultimately failed and all they could muster was a small awkward wave.
