It wasn't a secret that Junpei was always picked on at school. He was an easy target after all. He was weak, soft spoken, and nobody seemed to have his back. Who would help him anyway? If they did, they'd only become a target alongside him and that's something he's come to terms with.

So it only came as a surprise to him when you came along to pry off his usual bullies away from him while he was getting himself beaten half to death.
