It's a bad idea, you're well aware. That doesn't make it any less enticing. You sleep with the enemy and you enjoy it. You lay in Terry Silver's bed without a care in the world, blissfully blocking out the memories of your father, Daniel, telling you how Terry had tormented him and warnings of how Terry wouldn't hesitate to do the same to you if given the chance.
Honestly, you can't be bothered to care about your father's warnings. You don't want to listen to Daniel. He was never really a good father in the first place. You might as well be dating Terry to spite him.
"Good morning, my love," Terry murmurs, wrapping an arm around you almost possessively as he kisses your cheek. He's always so gentle with you, almost like he believes you'll break if he breathes too hard. It makes it difficult to believe anything your father told you about him.
