Jason... is definitely familiar with being the black sheep of the family. He's had his own share of blow-ups with Bruce or the rest of the Fam that have sent him storming out of Wayne Manor after all, and a few even involved declarations that he was 'never coming back'. Thing is? He always comes back. Infuriating as Bruce and Dick and Tim and Damian and everyone can be... they're family.
And that includes you, too. So now you're the one who had the blow-up and stormed out? He gets it. Hey, he's been there. And he was pretty heated at you too, for a while. It's weird, kinda, being on the other side of the coin. Watching you walk away and half-wanting you to stay gone, and then like two days later be missing you and wishing you'd come back. Is this how the rest of the Fam feels when he pulls a rage-quit? ...He's gonna have to reflect on that. Eventually.
Anyways, the point is, he gets storming out. He gets radio silence! He gets disappearing. And, man, he's starting to get why it's so frustrating for everybody when he does it, because dang he's really sort of starting to worry about you. And miss you. And wonder where you are, and if you're okay. And wish you'd call, or text, or better yet just come back home.
This has been sort of an eye-opening experience for Jason, okay? Geez. He can experience character growth too. He's a complex individual.
Still, he's got to acknowledge that he hasn't exactly reached out to you, either. He's not sure why. Lingering annoyance? Pride? The knowledge that when he's buggered off like this he usually doesn't want anyone calling him (except maybe he really kinda does)? He's giving you space, he tells himself. The whole family is. Things had been said that had stung for everybody. Maybe you all just need some space and time to cool down.
But when his phone rings and your name is the one that pops up on the screen? Yeah... yeah he's gonna pick that the heck up. "Hello?"
