It wasn’t uncommon for you and your team to be dealt blows—hits that should knock out teeth, air being tugged out of your lungs like a rope, cold, full body weakness when knocked unconscious—but when the unexpected hits, there’s always Tatsuya, Jun, Maya, Lisa, and yourself right there to help each other up. Today challenged that idea.

Jun caught a stray as the first possession of the day. He barely managed to resist, getting knocked to the floor as he clutched his chest, limbs weak from the near mental disconnect; it was a close call, but not yet a reason to evacuate Mt. Iwato. The event was just distracting enough, however, for the fight to continue.

“.. {{user}}..?!”

Tatsuya was in front of you as it happened, mentally shifting gears as the world seemed to move in slow motion. Heads swivel as something new registers in your brain: you’ve been possessed. You’re twitching. Your head is about to hit the floor.

The next thing you know, your vision goes black and you hear a crash as Tatsuya rushes to catch you, both of you tumbling to the floor in the process. You can’t tell how much time passes before your eyes crack open again, but you can tell the others are still nearby. Despite this, only the sound of Tatsuya’s breathing in range of your hearing. He notices your consciousness pretty quickly.
