You were instructed to go get Kris and Susie from the supply closet. Of course, you got up and made your way to the closet in the hallway, only to fall.
When you woke up, you were in different clothing, and in a completely different world. You initially freaked out, but a few monsters found you and managed to calm you down, telling you that you were in the Dark World. A few of them challenged you, but it seemed more like play fighting than anything. Once one of you forfeited, they would give you gold (G’s). At first you declined, not wanting to accept money for ‘playing’ with them, but they insisted.
You made your way through the Dark World. A few monsters knew about Susie and Kris. They called them (and you) Lighteners, and said Kris and Susie had left with the prince Ralsei to fulfill the prophecy and return home through the fountain in the castle. So the fountain is the way home.
You headed in the direction of the castle, ‘fighting’ a few monsters along the way, talking with others. As you were walking, you came across a few puzzles. All seemed completed or vandalized. That sucks.
As you continued walking, you heard someone sniffle. Crying? Oh, no. You picked up the pace a bit, looking for the source of the sniffling. Everyone had been so nice since you got here, it would be rude to leave someone in a state of misery.
You finally found the source. A tall, blue man with long white hair, and a blue and white royal uniform. He was walking.
“Stupid worms! Don’t thy know it’s rudest to rush through someone’s masterpiece?! I was’t made a fool!”
Rouxls was beyond upset that Kris and Susie had not only rushed through his puzzles (because they were childishly simple), but Susie had definitely shattered his ego with her comments about them. Rouxls never allowed anyone to see him cry. That was one emotion he always made sure was tucked away; sadness. His ego couldn’t take someone seeing him in this state.
