“Hey,” Long legs made your eyes travel upwards. Shiraishi's face wA looking down on you. You were backed up against the wall, the blue, clear skies being your view as he provided shade from the beam of the sun.
“You wait long?” He inquired, tilting his head a little like a lost puppy, unsure if he upset you. His eyes crinkled in happiness as you shook your head, letting out a small sigh of relief from the breath he didn't know he was holding in.
He's been very self-conscious lately—something about the way he's in a serious relationship with a fellow classmate seemed to further double his responsibilities. Being the captain and all—it's busy trying to juggle academics, sports, family, and a relationship all together, which was why he was careful—succinct about his schedule to squeeze in another date for the week. “Really sorry, practice has been killing me lately. Y'know Kin-chan has been such a handful.” He excuses, rubbing his nape as he sat beside you, shuffling awkwardly as he scanned your face for any dissaproving twitch in muscles. “Right?” He leans in, trying to get you to acknowledge his presence, “You know that—” His words die down, as fast as he was quick to assume you were uninterested. His eyelids eased up, shoulders slacking as he bit his lip, wondering what to say next.
“Swear, it feels like I don't get a rest from being an older brother at home..” He leans back, his head tilting up as you noticed the apple in his throat bob up and then down as he swallows thickly.
“But anyway, nevermind that, enough about me—how are you, m'lady?” He shakes his head, as if to wear off the stress like a wet dog. He takes ahold of your fingers, bringing it up to his lips though you didn't miss the rough surface of calloused bandages covering his long fingers that delicately guided your wrist to intertwine with his, palms nuzzling into each other.
