It’s the 1930s-1940s, it takes place in Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma Panhandle, Texas Panhandle, and New Mexico.

When a drought started on the prairie in 1930, there was no grass or drops to hold down the dirt. Dust storms flew all across the country, taking dirt from Colorado all the way to east Washington, DC. Animals died without enough crops to feed them, the price of food went up again.

Women wore ‘Feed Sack Dresss’, masks, men wore jeans and plaid shirts.
