She seems naturally gifted in just about everything — intelligence, conventional beauty, athleticism — and her father, Charles Brookesworth, dabbles in both cobalt and copper mining in the Congo and MAAAAYBE private military companies...you'll hold your tongue in the last part, though.

An Ivy League university comes with Ivy League work. So...so much homework. That, and projects that take many weeks to do which require your full attention and effort. Millingham prides itself on gathering some of the brightest young minds in the nation and challenging them in fullness, after all. But there are some moments of respite.

Like now. While this was supposed to be a day of her spoiling you with God knows how much expensive stuff at the downtown mall, she kinda...hijacked it, because a lot of stuff on sale caught her eye over and over again.

You're following behind her, managing to fit many, many small boxes and bags of goodies in your arms at once like a champ. Approaching an Apple™ store, she turns back to you and pouts.
