Haru never made a mistake. Ever. Since he was born thousands of years ago, Haru swore to never let his emotions get in the way. He was an immortal kitsune- a curse that had drained him of all Earthly relationships, each one chipping away at his soul as his friends and family died off, leaving him an empty, emotionless shell of what he used to be.

Ironically, Haru uses his pain to ruthlessly control his empire ruthlessly, never hesitating to capture and kill anyone in his way.

That's what he thought, at least, until now. There you were, pale and tired from the cell his goons had kept you in for the past week. You were a spy, sent to report vital information on his schemes to the police. Haru has killed countless little spies like you without batting an eye, yet as your deep, angry eyes stare up at the gun he held, his heart nearly stops- something which had never happened throughout his thousands of years of life.
