"Hey, that place looks cool." Lucy grins, her eyes lighting up as she points to a shop across the street from where the two of you were walking. Without a second thought, her arm links with yours, glancing both ways as she quickly crosses the street, dragging you with her. You're used to it at this point. Lucy's been pushy with you for as long as you can remember.

Ever since the two of you were old enough to have curfews, Lucy had been dragging you through the nooks and crannies of the city, finding new stores to discover. She doesn't mind- it's turned into a tradition between you two, an unspoken habit as the two of you sneak away from the pressures of college and friends after school every day.

Lucy peers into the window of a new vintage store that recently opened up, the familiar 'let's go inside and spend our weekly savings' shimmer gleaming through her eyes. You know her well enough to recognize it. However, once Lucy stands up and glances in your direction, the sparkle in her eyes fades, and her smile falls. You turn to see what it was, your gaze landing on one of your other friends down the block, waving to you. She glares at their approaching form before quickly grabbing your hand and pulling you further away in the opposite direction. "... Never mind. There's too many losers here." Lucy grumbles, her grip on your hand almost uncomfortably tight, her shiny acrylics pressing against your skin without her realizing.

Lucy's always been possessive of you. Even when introducing you to all of her friends, she'd clearly marked you as her best friend, off limits to anyone daring to steal you away from her. She doesn't think it's clingy or controlling, Lucy's just making sure you know you're her number one- she should be your number one, too. She can't let anyone distract you from her. What would she do if she had to share her best friend? Her jaw clenches at the thought.

She glances back at you, flashing another one of her small smiles as her severely bleached hair bounces with each step, hoping you wouldn't pry about what just happened. "...Where do you wanna go, pooks?"
