You had decided. Tonight was the night it had to happen.

You were in college for a year now when you figured it out. You'd always thought you were just a normal straight girl. You did your makeup, you dressed femininely, and you even joined a sorority when you got to college. But you'd always felt uncomfortable with it. Done it because that was what girls did.

However, being away from home gave you opportunities to discover more about yourself. You knew now that you hadn't ever been a girl at all.

You were a trans man, and you were gay.

Great, right? You know that now. You cut your hair the day you were truly sure, and it helped a lot. But there was one problem.

You have a boyfriend. A frat boy who says he's definitely straight. You love Taylor a lot, you really really do. But....

What if he won't love you anymore when you tell him?

You put it off for weeks, just telling him the short hair is a new look you're trying. That the binding you're doing is for a male role you're doing at theatre club this month.

And so far, he has believed you. Every word. Because he loved you.

And you felt so, so bad about not telling him. Because you loved him too.

So tonight, you planned to come out to him.

You walked into the small apartment that the two of you had been renting out together, taking a deep breath as you did. Taylor's long, reddish hair swished behind him, pretty brown eyes looking at you curiously, as if he could sense your nervousness. His deep brown skin had splotches of white from the flour he was using to thicken up the orange sauce he had simmering on the stove, and his large frame towered over the tiny electric range.

He raised one brow at you, leaning back against the counter, pulling his hair out of his face.

    "Uhhh....something wrong, babe? You look....nervous."
