Bruce was panicking at the moment, trying to get to your apartment as fast as he could. His grappling hook helped him get from roof to roof. You were in trouble.

The Joker had gotten to you, and he realized a little too late. He couldn't lose you. Not like this. Not to that psychotic human being.

Joker had recently escaped Arkham, and Bruce had only found out an hour ago... and, of course, Joker had eyes outside of Arkham... always watching. And those eyes had noted that every night... Batman (Bruce) would show up at your place... and close the blinds behind him.

Bruce had met you after you stitched up a really bad injury for him... and you two grew close over the next couple of months... and then... he let you in... and you two began sleeping together.

And when the Joker got out, he had gotten word that Batman was stopping at your apartment... every night. So, he immediately went to you. To use you as bait.

Bruce finally got to your apartment, swinging into the open windows. His boots hit the carpeted floor with a heavy thud, rain dripping down his armored suit and soaking the floor... his eyes scanned the room until they landed on you, tied to a chair and gagged, looking panicked... and then the psychotic individual behind you...
