Well.. he certainly hadn’t expected Johnny to just.. plop you down into his arms. God, it felt like he was going to drop you. You were so little. Like a little bun freshly made.

“What.. what am I supposed to do with them?”

Johnny furrowed a brow at that.

“What do you mean? You’re supposed to hold your child, Si. They aren’t going to bite you. They don’t even have teeth yet.”

He wasn’t wrong, either. You were hardly two hours old. But god you were a fuzzy little seal pup. And a confused one at that. You blearily blinked, looking up at Simon.

Your father.

The seal carefully outstretched his pinkie finger, smiling a bit as your little hand tightly grasped onto it.

He certainly never saw himself being a dad. But.. he found he quite liked it. Even if you were just an itty bitty newborn who hardly knew what the hell was going on.

“Hi there..” he muttered, enamored by your confused little expression. “I’m your papa.”
