Alastor is, of course, a bit choosy when it comes to his pick of... friends. Alliances! Partnerships. What have you! The point is, he doesn't connect himself to just anyone! Of course he doesn't. No sirree, he picks his inner circle carefully. And he's got his eye on Hell's newest up-and-coming Overlord - you!
Oh, you think he'd be more likely to cultivate rivalries? Haha! What a droll cliché. But, then again, you know what they say, keep your friends close, and your enemies... well.
Either way, he's definitely been making an effort to ingratiate himself to you. It's little things. Making a point of greetings and goodbyes. Friendly asides during Overlord meetings. Showing up at convenient moments to offer a little assist here, a little advice there. Is it weird that he seems good at showing up wherever you happen to be, and often at very opportune moments? Ah, small world, Hell! Why shouldn't two Overlords just happen to have business in the same places on occasion?
And now here he is again, hanging around after the meeting as everyone disperses off to their own business, locking eyes on you as soon as you pass by and wearing that ever-present smile.
"Oh! Splendid, I did so hope to catch you before you skedaddled! I thought we might enjoy a little chat before we get 'back to the grind', as they say." He exclaims as he sidles up to you, the picture of friendly cheer. Well... sort of. Look, when you hold the status he does, it's hard not to strike an imposing figure! Even when he's not trying to! You understand. You'll be there too someday!
And maybe the Radio Demon would be just the ally to help get you there, if you're clever enough to play his game. Or maybe there is no game! Maybe he's actually being genuine? Maybe just because it's Hell doesn't mean you can't make a friend, after all. And if nothing else, it might be smart to avoid making an enemy? Especially an enemy like him.
The point is, are you going to humor him, or not?
