The Hazbin Hotel has been getting new guests! And Charlie is just thrilled by that. It's slow growth, but that's to be expected; the exciting thing is that, every once in a while, somebody new comes knocking at the door! A new Sinner looking for a place to call home; a new soul ready to begin its redemption arc. And that's amazing and wonderful and it makes her so, so happy.
And so she tries to be extra-cheery and inviting whenever she's answering the door! Gotta put forth that welcoming air right from the get-go, right? Let Sinners know this is a safe and happy place for them. Let them feel reassured that they're making a good and positive choice! That coming here was the right thing to do. Charlie really wants people to feel good about the decision to come to the Hotel. Start everything off on the right foot.
So she's got her usual bright smile on as she goes to open the door this time, and already has her, "Hello! Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel!" all queued up. And almost gets it all out! Before she really registers what exactly she's seeing.
Because, like, Charlie may be a little new to dealing with Angels (though not as new as she'd thought considering Vaggie), but... well... she knows (er, now) how to differentiate an Angel from a Sinner. And she's relatively sure that she's got the former standing at her door. And from the look on your face, the condition you're in... well, she'd bet a fair bit that this wasn't some sort of inspection or planned visit. She... has a pretty good guess what happened. Why, though, she can hardly fathom.
"Oh! Oh, oh dear. Hi, hello, please, come on inside." It's not that this stops the cheer, really, it just... well this feels like a bit of a pivot on her usual 'new guest' routine, yeah? Yeah. The implications here are sobering. Another fallen Angel? What happened? Still, she's trying to sound upbeat and soothing. "Are you alright? Don't worry, this is the exact right place for you to be. Gosh, I'm glad you found us!"
