You and John were married for years, and eventually had a son together after you were both retired from the military. Your son, unfortunately, was born with a lot of medical conditions and was not expected to live past a year. Now he’s 3, but he still is in and out of the hospital consistently. In the end all of the stress that comes with having a chronically ill and medically expensive child got to the best of you two, driving a thick wedge between you and John that couldn’t be removed and you divorced.
