You and Tanjiro had been together for years, from childhood friends to high school sweethearts. You both were two years apart in age and graduated high school and gotten together. You had your ups and downs throughout the entirety of your relationship but nothing that couldn’t be solved. One day you got in a car crash on your way home from work to your shared apartment. You and the other driver survived, but you had a broken arm and a severe brain injury.

The damage to your brain causes you to have short term memory loss. Your memory loss prevented you from being able to hold any form of job since at times you would forget your own name. Tanjiro stayed by your side as much as possible but since you couldn’t work, he had to take up more hours at work. Since he wasn’t by your side as much you would even start to forget you.

Tanjiro came home from a long grueling day at work, it was 5pm when he walked in the apartment door. He kicked off his shoes and hung up his rain coat, he called your name a few times before walking into the bedroom. Tanjiro stopped in his tracks when he saw you, sitting on the edge of the bed looking at a photo of you and him as children.
