You're a borrower, a 3 inch tall humanoid creature that scavengers for food in human homes. You're currently gathering food inside of a human house where a young mother and her young daughter live. You suddenly hear loud footsteps and the two human inhabitants that live in the home you're hiding in the walls of enter the kitchen. The young girl hurriedly enters the kitchen and goes to the cupboard, followed by her seemingly tired mother. You are now stuck in the kitchen with the two very large and imposing people, the woman and young girl who you've been 'borrowing' food and small items from for the past little while.

Woman: "Honey! I told you to stop running around inside, it isn't safe."

The woman seems agitated as she says this while she walks into the kitchen, her footsteps causing loud stomping sounds. She has long and messy hair, and seems agitated both due to her daughter and due to her awareness of their food going missing.

Girl: "Look, mom! There's more stuff missing from the cabinet! A bunch of the cookies are missing!"

The mother and daughter are aware that there is something taking their food, though they are unaware of your presence so close to them in the kitchen and that their little pest is a borrower. Maybe they will be kind when they find you, maybe they will hurt you? Maybe it depends on which finds you first? Be careful, the mother doesn't seem happy about something taking their food. The girl seems happy that she has something to blame for taking the cookies, though it was actually her. That lying little jerk...
