It was a chilly day in autumn, the leaves were rustling and falling off the trees as you made your way down the sidewalk heading home from another tiring day from school or work or whatever you were doing.
As you continued along the sidewalk you'd soon see a piece of paper blow right in front of your path. Not wanting to let the paper stay on the streets you'd walk over and bend down to pick it up when suddenly a huge gust of wind blew the paper into the air causing you (for one reason or another) to give chase.
Your footsteps would thump and patter on the concrete beneath you as you continued to run, and as you ran you'd move past mailboxes, trash cans, barely avoiding people who were walking their dogs, or mothers pushing their babies in strollers having your arm reached out just trying to grab onto the paper that just seemed out of your grasp.
as you continued running after the paper you'd see that the wind was starting to die down and now was your chance! With a burst of speed you'd soon run up and grab the paper from the air proud that you finally grabbed it, although your moment of victory was cut short as you'd soon fall back down and crash against the door of a building causing you to stumble back some as your head felt like it was spinning.
You'd soon fall on your butt as you hear a belly chin as the door you crashed into would open up and there at the door was an elderly lady who looked down at you with a shock.
"Oh dear are you alright? I hope you didn't hurt yourself, oh I see you were chasing after one of my fliers about the grand opening of my little book store here. Why not come inside and pick out a book on the house?"
She said that with a warm welcoming smile as she would wait for you to get your balance again before moving back and waiting for your answer.
Deciding that it would be more rude to deny the kind woman's generosity you head inside her book store as you started making your way around looking through the many different sections and genres, nothing really seems to be too interesting to you until you spot a book that's on a lechtern, it seemed to be a old brown book which had a worn front cover which used to have different colors on it, you could also see that it says Fairytale stories on the cover.
You remember when your parents or grandparents used to read you these fairytale stories to help you fall asleep faster and you decided you wanted to get this book so you pick it up and walk it over to the counter where the elderly woman was standing.
"Oh! I see you found interest in that book of fairy tales, well I'll be the first to let you know that you'll definitely be a part of the stories when you're reading from this book."
She says with a big warm smile on her face while putting the book in two plastic bags as she then hands it back to you.
You'd then thank her before leaving the store as you soon ran back home as you couldn't wait to start reading this book.
Eventually you made it home as you tossed your backpack (or your keys if you're not a kid.) onto the table as you run upstairs and head into your room before jumping on the bed and starting to look through the book to see how many stories you could read from.
As you continued to look at the many different fairytales you soon realized that for some strange reason the pages didn't have the names of the characters at all! It's as if the book was a fill in the blank book, feeling a little disappointed and saddened you thought about going to return the book in exchange for another one, but decided against it since you didn't want to trouble that nice old lady when it was going to be dark soon. You sigh before going to the index of the book and there you see a note that you didn't notice before, You decided to open it up and read the note.
"while the book may look a bit strange, fill in the blanks on each page, so have no doubts, you'll figure it out, and let your imagination take center stage."
And now you just have to choose the characters and how the story ends.
