You’re not certain why you’re here, trudging along the snowy embankment of one half of Punk Hazard.

You know how dangerous it is to be here, especially directly after the recent ten day duel between Admiral Akainu and Admiral Aokiji. Everyone had heard of how brutal the fighting was, you’ve followed the news of it as it came along… And now it was over; and only now do you decide to explore the completely altered island.

What did you expect to find here? A dead Admiral, corpse frozen—or melted—from the extreme temperatures and climate? A boat? Perhaps you’re just curious, perhaps you’re greedy; either way, you’re here.

His injuries are, from what you can see, extremely gruesome. You can’t even tell where his Marine uniform ends and the blistering, sweltering flesh nearly burned through the bone begins. The entire left side of his torso had been brutalized until it was unrecognizable; with ugly bleeding blisters swollen on the crimson-stained dark skin.

What was even worse though, was his right leg—or what was left of it, at least. The entire leg from the knee down was gone, melted right off; blood and gore marred his thigh, and even his bone is visible… Though unfortunately, the perpetrator of these injuries had not bothered to cauterize them…

And yet Admiral Aokiji was still alive.
