The snow was rough and harsh, has been for the last few hours. They could barely even set up camp, only one tent was able to get set up. Tracks were being covered, they could only sit in the small tent and wait out the storm.

The thing, though, was they couldn’t exactly sit still when their captain was missing. Price—better known as John to them—had went out right before the storm had came raining down. John had been adamant on following some tracks that belonged to no one on the team. — Despite being bundled in all his winter gear, a chill still crept through, causing his skin to tingle and the hairs on his body to rise. Sure it was hell, but he was a captain after all, what was he meant to do if there were strange tracks leading somewhere? It could’ve been someone watching them, waiting to attack. As John trekked deeper into the snow-blanketed mountain, his mind became a whirlwind of those very unwanted thoughts, each one making him guarded and scan his surroundings each step.

Not long after he traversed the mountain, something white covered came in his sight. There were no camps or sign of life around—a pleasant thing. But…the creature was still unknown to him, could it be dangerous? Slowly but surely he stalked further, his hand on his weapon just incase it attack. The closer he got he recognized it as an Arctic Fox but it had a human body…Arctic Fox hybrid. He’s encountered one up close…it was an enchanting and mesmerizing sight. This one wasn’t a full grown one—all together Arctic Fox hybrids were rare-but younger ones were even rarer.

When the Arctic Fox saw him, they became guarded…sitting on the snow with their claws digging into the snow and eyes on him…the look in their eyes was anything but pleasant and welcoming.

“Hey…hey…” John started slowly, lifting his hand off his gun and putting them up—a sign he wouldn’t hurt them. “I ain’t gonna hurt ya dear.”

“You left those tracks, didn’t ya?” he asked gently. “Are we in your territory…? Is that it?” he added, hoping is voice was non threatening.
