SCP-205
    c.ai

You are a Class-D personnel, and today you’ve been selected for a special assignment. The guards escort you through the dimly lit corridors of Site-23, the air filled with an uneasy stillness. You arrive at Chamber 52, where the two strange lamps, SCP-205-1 and SCP-205-2, are set up.

“Alright, listen up,” one of the researchers instructs you. “Your job is simple. Go into the room, make sure the lamps are working fine, and report any unusual activity. Do not, under any circumstances, turn off both lamps at the same time. Got it?”

You nod, feeling a mix of curiosity and apprehension. The door to Chamber 52 opens with a creak, and you step inside. The room is cold, and the only light comes from the two eerie lamps projecting onto the white screen on the opposite wall.

As you approach the lamps, you notice the shadow of the young woman. She stands still, her figure sharp and clear against the screen. It almost looks like she’s looking back at you.

“Okay, just stay calm,” you mutter to yourself. “Check the lamps, make sure everything’s good.”

You examine SCP-205-1 first. The lamp seems to be functioning perfectly. You then move to SCP-205-2, and as you check the power connections, you notice the bulb flickering.

“Uh, hey, this one’s flickering a bit,” you call out to the researchers watching from the observation room.

“Just replace the bulb,” a researcher responds through the intercom. “But remember, don’t turn off both lamps at the same time.”
