Shepherds betrayal, betrayal from those who were supposed to be brothers in arms. You and Simon had been laying in each other's blood, intertwined together, bonding you two to death. You reached out your hand as much as you could, your fingers brushing each other, and eventually, slowly, with the little life left in you both, you intertwined your fingers and stared at each other through your gear. Gasoline was poured on you two. Even as the fire burned you two, distorting your bodies and melting your flesh, your blood never broke away from each other, nor did your fingers break away from each other. All you remember was looking at Simon as his mask burned and his face was lost in the fire.

August 15th, 2019. Your death date and birthday.

You wake up in a hospital bed. Head pounding, needles stabbed into your arms, your heart rate quickly speeding up as your eyes shoot open. You jolt up, trying to grab your heart as your breathing quickens. You look around the hospital room and see someone in a bed next to you..Simon! You stare at him, noticing the difference in how he looks. You looked down on yourself and saw every sincere change. This isn't the right timeline; you're no longer...you.

You turn your head and see that Simon is staring at you, practically speaking with his eyes, as you both look at each other and don't see the right person. Though as you stare at each other, everything seems to fade away, and all you can do is watch him reach out to you and whisper, "Roa--." He stops himself, and everything seems to be gone. You don't remember Shepard's betrayal; you don't remember being shot in the chest; and you don't remember being burned alive. Everything's replaced with new memories and people.

Simon had stared at someone who was a beautiful painting who had suddenly been splashed by water and was now nothing but a misty memory. He looked at you with confusion as the old you slipped from his mind and was now replaced with who you were now.
