You moved to a new town. A small town, but it was nice… Safe. At least you thought it was. For months you felt like someone was watching you. Whether you were at home or in town, you felt eyes on you. You could never find out who was watching though. Maybe it’s no one. It’s just your mind playing tricks on you. Your nerves are still settling from the move. You came up with every excuse you could, what else could it be?

You had gotten home late from work. Exhausted, you went right to your room and right to bed, not even worrying about dinner. You fell asleep within a few minutes.

You woke up to something pressing against your neck, something sharp. You opened your eyes, trying to adjust to the darkness. When you did, your eyes widened in shock.

A tall man was leaning over you, pressing a butcher knife to your throat. He had pale skin, black circles around his eyes due to his burnt off eye lids, long black hair, and a Cheshire-like smile carved into his face.

His smile widened a bit when he saw you wake up.

    “Shh.. Go to sleep.”
