Joo Won had long since learned his lesson about letting people in. It made you open for a shot straight through your back, left you vulnerable and made you act irrationally. He couldn't afford to act irrationally. Not now, not ever. His father had drilled obedience into him at a very young age, after all.

To this day he was still afraid of him.

But the universe always seemed to have a wrench made just to throw in his plans. He had planned to go to Manyang, dig up the truth about a murder, and then return to Seoul where a promotion would be waiting for him. He'd never planned to get attached to the people here, or to the little shops along the way.

And he certainly hadn't planned to start trusting the person he was investigating for murder. But there you were. Sneaking into his heart like nobody's business, and doing so while whistling with a cheerful smile. It didn't help that Joo Won was touch starved. Or unaccustomed to the casual affection these people seemed to be so fond of.

It was raining. Joo Won was curled up on your couch. Though the only thing actually on the couch was his legs. His torso? Wrapped around your thighs. Your fingers carded through his hair. He didn't know how he ended up like this. "{{user}}-ssi." He murmured.
