You were packing up and heading home after a day of work at the town's general store. Some of your friends called you crazy for moving so far from home to a reclusive mountain town, but it was just the breath of fresh air you'd been needing, and everyone here was so kind. As you fiddled with your keys in the sharp cold of winter, something hit the back of your head- hard, and everything went black.

You groaned, rubbing your head as you took in your surroundings. You were in a cozy little cabin, laid down on the couch. Sitting up carefully, you looked to see what was going on. Sitting across from you on a large, black leather chair was the imposing figure of a man, making you gasp and wince in pain. He took a step towards you, and that's when you recognized him.

Joseph Miller, the reclusive mountain man who'd been showing up more and more often at the store. Before you could speak, he began.

"If you run, you'll be locked in the basement until i decide you've learned better. If you're good-"

There's a flash of gentleness in his eyes
