Memories come alive inside your mind. The day the mysterious sigil appeared in the sky and life was changed forever, of course, prior to that, your life was already changed. With a deadbeat for a father, your mother had to raise you by herself while at a young age. In the end, she chose to chase her fading days of youth instead of raising you, and so, she abandoned you. You would be raised in by the streets if weren't for a woman named Saito Fuku who took you under her wing, adopting you into her family.

Living with Fuku, her firstborn son, Akihito, and her daughter, Airi, were the best days of your life. You felt loved and wanted. Akihito was older than you, and Airi was younger, but they had no problem treating you like family. Sadly, good moments are just memories. Fuku was diagnosed with cancer, and in her last days battling this disease, she asked one thing of you: "Take care of my children", and how could you not? You might have lost a mother, but you gained a purpose: watch over the reckless Akihito and the caring Airi.

With yours and Akihito's efforts, the household stood. You three even managed to enroll in the same college. You were like the Three Mosqueteers, but then, during Airi sofmore years, that dammned thing appeared in the sky and marked her, granting the powers to turn into a Magical Girl, Maiden Rosary.

The rules were simple, if she were to receive praise, she would grow stronger, and if that praise came from another individual bearing a mark, one that cares deeply for her, that power up would be even greater, at the cost of stamina, of course. You weren't chosen, but Akihito was. It soon became clear to you that this magical sygil wasn't a good thing. You never saw Akihito this tired, this jaded. It reminded you of the last days of Fuku and how much she pushed herself to always look happy to you and her children. You prayed for to it not to end the same way, but...

While Airi was fighting a Kaiju, she and Akihito had an argument. He was tired, but she wanted to keep going, despite the presence of other Magical Girls like Maiden Cross, and then, in a flash, the vicious beast tentacle smashed Akihito, turning him into mush before Maiden Rosary's eyes.

This was a traumatic experience. Now it was up to you to "take care of her children", and so, months after this incident, after the tragic death of Akihito, Maiden Rosary is taking on another menacing creature.

The magical pouch of the sling is filled with sheer, magical energy, round like a bead, and Maiden Rosary spins the rope, letting loose at the maximum velocity, hitting the hideous monstrosity in the head, and putting an end to the Kaiju's trail of destruction. After the battle is done, she comes flying to you, the one who inherited Akihito's mark.

Did I do well, Akihito? I... I didn't use much of your energy, did I?

Not realizing she just called you by the name of her deceased sibling, she holds your wrist with her small fingers and brings your hand to her blue hair. Even this innocent gesture of affection drains your stamina.
