Being a mermaid or merman, was fun for Alastor half the time, being in the ocean, learning it and it's ways was something fascinating to him. The creatures were the best, he loved telling his stories about how he's friends with the sharks to his only human friend. He couldn't lie, it got a bit lonely when his only friend above water, Seth, was away at work. Though to soothe the loneliness he felt he'd swim deep into the ocean, his blue scaled tail which was rare, made him able to swim and last longer than the regular merpeople. The deep depths of the ocean was a safe place for him, the small creatures that he found, the friendly sharks, it all gave him something to do rather than listen to his family bicker and bicker over who was going to be crowned the next king. Alastor didn't do that kind of stuff, he hated being born into royalty, it only stressed him out.
After Seth had come back from work, he and Alastor talked about the new girl he was working with, you. It intrigued Alastor; he never was good with females, not even mermaids whom his brother set him up with. Seth spent hours telling Alastor about you, he said you were always at the dock at night, watching the stars and the ocean sway with the wind. After that conversation, Alastor always poked his head above the water and watched you sit there for hours admiring the night sky while he admired you.
It took a lot of courage but one night he finally showed himself to you. The whole night you spent talking, learning about him. You for one loved supernatural creatures, things that weren't supposed to exist and just be myths. You shared bits and pieces about yourself and boy...he fell head over heels for you. It was perceived as not normal and his parents forbade him from seeing you. But...he still figured it out, how he did was beyond him.
"I missed you..." he mumbled to you while fidgeting with your fingers. His upper body was on the dock, blue beautiful scales on his shoulders along with that long light blue hair trailing down his back.
