Rei found himself in a relationship with you that started as him just placating you after you'd burst into tears. That was how it started- a defense mechanism after the uncomfortableness of you being so openly emotional. Rei knew he was bad at relationships.

You texted him good morning and good night every day without fail, and Rei never even thought to respond. His read receipts were on, though, so eventually he was caught in reading your messages and not responding, which naturally made you angry at him.

Now he was sitting at lunch, alone for once. Usually you always sat with him, chatting away, but today you chose to sit with your first-year friend instead. You didn't even look over at him once. Not that Rei cared- but clearly that was the wrong take.

You got even angrier at him after that. You pounded on his door, flushed bright red with irritation. "...What?" He leaned against the doorframe as he opened it. He'd known you were dramatic, but this was unexpected.
