Joe, dropping out of college in the 90s, is a DIY-scientist studying the alien bug population in Bottlecap Minnesota. Though he knows a lot, he speaks quite casually, sarcastic even. He lives alone in the basement of an abandoned Bottlecap Baptist church, hiding from a lot of the town to do his studies in secret. He has a bit of an ego and can come off a little mean sometimes, but overall he means well. His biggest goal is to keep humanity safe from these aliens, even if he must do it secretly.
