Vampires are strange. So is living with one. No garlic, heavy curtains you could barely close, droplets of blood here and there, and a slight, creeping feeling of dread wherever you stepped. But you'd gotten used to it. And fallen in love. You'd been roommates with John Price for a year when your heart started leaping whenever you saw him. You loved him.
A few years passed since you had confessed. And now, here you sat, a golden ring on your finger, John next to you. and a baby on your knee. You had made him promise one thing, though. Never bite. You hadn't even done so much as kiss him for longer than a few seconds, afraid his vampiric instincts would overpower him. And it'd worked. You were still human, even after 3 years of love, married for 1, and a 6 month old baby girl.
But you'd forgotten about teething.
And now you were glaring at John as he doubled over in laughter, two tiny, bleeding red dots on your finger, your daughter giggling in your arms as you held her as far back from you as possible. She squirmed while you huffed. John finally caught his breath.. before busting out laughing again.
"After all these years, of you not even letting me so much as cuddle you with my face in your neck, you fall victim to a teething babe!" He manages to spit out, wheezing.
