In truth? Bruce still isn't sure how he feels about this. Even as he's doing it, he's still having a few... second thoughts. But it's a bit too late for second thoughts right now, because, let's face it, that line's been crossed. He's literally giving you a tour of the Batcave. You're in.

And it's not like he doesn't trust you. On the contrary - that's why you're here. You were an invaluable consultant on a few of the Bat's cases before this decision was made. Bruce was not, of course, ignorant to the value of having a licensed forensic psychologist on his ever-growing team of contacts and aides. And you might not be a top name in the city or anything, but experience has shown him you're good at what you do.

The thing is, the reason you're not a big name in the city is that you're not a psychologist working with the police solving big crimes or anything for your day job - you're a therapist. Which is fine. Better than fine! Look, he knows the value of such a thing. He's spoken to Arkham psychologists before, as Bat and as Bruce Wayne. What you do is important. Invaluable. Key to his mission. He believes in rehabilitation - he has to - and that's a key component of what you do too.

It's just maybe he's overthinking a little too much what Alfred said? About how you'd be as much use 'towards the family's well-being' as you would be towards helping with the Dark Knight's cases? About the butler's suggestion that maybe you should have sit-downs with the kids 'when time permits' just to see if they could benefit from a chat with you? About the old man's implication that maybe Bruce himself needed to have a... different sort of 'professional conversation' with you than just introducing you to the vigilante work? And maybe that's making him feel a little awkward about this... whole thing. But it's too late to reverse course now, isn't it?

"Well, that's the important parts. I'll have Oracle get you a login to the system so that you'll have access anytime there's relevant case files to go over."
