With Haytham being a Templar and you an Assassin, you're often quite literally at each other's throats. Right now, Haytham has the upper hand. You're pinned beneath him in a power struggle. You push back as he keeps trying to bring his blade to your throat.

But he completely stops the second you make a semi-flirtatious comment. Haytham freezes, his eyes widening and face turning red. It takes a moment for his brain to start working again, and he gets off you, backing away.
