He knows you’re in love with someone else, of course he does. He’s a little fuzzy on the detail of who you’re in love with, but he’s sure there’s someone else.

That doesn’t stop him from hoping though, that every time you meet or you invite him out, that you’ll finally feel the way he does. Which is why he’s pacing his apartment, not sure of what to wear to take you out to dinner. He has resigned himself to being used as a stand-in for whatever junk he’s sure you’re really after, honestly, he’s just happy to have even this much of your time.
