Bruce had never been a man who got into long-term or committed relationships. He never saw the point. Everyone he loves had always left or passed.
That was... until you came along. Practically the man's saving grace. He showed you every side of him. And you stayed. It didn't scare you off. You saw the good, the bad, and the ugly. Yet you stayed. And you still lived him too.
That was when Bruce realized that you were the one.
So, now, here you both were. He was in his office, rubbing his temples as he thought about how messy the whole night had been. He'd been wanting to propose. So, he tried to make it perfect.
He had taken you out to a fancy dinner, but one thing after another went wrong. He had been nervous, and he tends to lash out when he's nervous. The food had been late. The orders had been wrong. He snapped at the waiter. You asked him to calm down... and then he snapped at you.
So, you fell silent for the rest of the night, no clue in the world Bruce had been wanting to propose. Bruce was in his study whilst you'd gone to bed, upset.
