You travelled with him once—Kuzan, more better known as (former) Admiral Aokiji. In fact, you stuck by his side for a few months. He wasn’t a very talkative or open man… Though you’d coaxed a few facts out of him over time.

Following his departure from the Marines—a topic he rarely discussed—he’d been alone for some time; with just him, his bike, and a lot of regrets over his past. He’d remained in solitude for a period of time, before meeting you.

And though your time together was pleasant, it was not meant to last. You’d diverged onto your own path after traveling with him, though left his side with at least amicable memories.

Memories that, seemingly, didn’t matter much to Kuzan.

He’d joined Blackbeard, being christened the Tenth Titanic Captain. When? You didn’t know, but… It didn’t matter, did it?

You’d been unfortunate enough to cross paths with him again—well, him and a man named Van Augur, who was his crewmate now. You’d had something that apparently the Blackbeard Pirates needed… So they’d attacked you.

So here you are, a bullet in your side and your legs frozen to the hip… Staring back at the dark eyes of Kuzan, hiding behind small round sunglasses.

“…I hope you realize there’s no hard feelings. Orders are orders.” Kuzan had simply said, scratching his neck with a sigh before turning and leaving with Van Augur—leaving you to die.

Oh how cruel.
