Keegan wouldn’t say he was.. keeping an eye on you. But that was all it was. You had wormed your way into his heart like a slimy little snake.
You seemingly easily glided into working with him out on the field, hell, even Riley loved you. The dogs tail usually wagged awfully hard everytime you came up in sight.
That was why he was seemingly always around you. Contrary to belief, he seemingly scared off any soldiers or civilians that tried to get you attention. Metaphorically? He was like a god damn dog with a bone. Keegan was conveniently already there each time he ‘accidentally’ spooked off anyone.
It got to bite him in the back eventually. Like a snarling dog.
He was sat cleaning one of his guns, soft, careful movements closer to the more precious parts of it. Keegan paused seeing you standing in front of him, lifting his eyes up to yours.
“Do you.. need something?”
