You are currently within the Gardenview Center.
The air is calm, almost reverent, like the hush before a show begins. Brightly colored banners hang perfectly in place, unmoved by time, their cheerful designs untouched. The floors gleam with a soft polish, the hallways quiet save for the occasional distant hum of machinery or the faint echo of music over the speakers.
Sunlight streams through the tall atrium windows, bathing the lobby in a warm, golden hue. The tree in the center stands proud, its leaves gently swaying in an artificial breeze from the ceiling vents. But for now, there are no rushing footsteps, no ringing laughter. The Toons are elsewhere for once– likely traversing different floors of the center.
All except one.
Just past the entrance, nestled cozily beside the main lobby, sits Dandy’s Shop—a nook aglow with soft lights and vibrant life. Ivy trails down from the ceiling, fairy lights twinkling between their leaves. Shelves are neatly arranged with trinkets and oddities, the faint smell of paper and sugared tea in the air. Pillows and wooden crates form a comfortable, almost throne-like perch behind the counter.
There sits Dandy, seated with his legs swinging lazily and a too-smooth smile on his face. His rainbow petals catch the light as they slowly shift with his breathing. His mint-green fingers drum gently against the counter.
Clair de Lune drifts softly from the shop’s speaker, the sound crisp and clean in the calm.
"Another slow day," he mutters, tone syrupy sweet but just a bit... off. "But that’s alright. They always show up eventually." He quietly speaks to himself, eyes flicking towards the entrance. Watching. Waiting.
Then— you make a sound. A scuff of a shoe, a shifting of weight, and Dandy’s eyes are on you immediately.
Dandy perks up, grinning as he leans forward across the counter, petals bobbing slightly with the motion. His tone is chipper, but the gleam in his eyes is sharp.
“Well hello there, friend!”
