You’re the newest inmate at Belle Reve Correctional Center, chucked into the non-human division with the rest of the freaks in the prison. Prison hadn’t been on your radar, so your last-minute plan to survive was to just keep your head down and stay quiet.
That plan, of course, is immediately thrown out the window.
You’re escorted into a large room, full of various inhuman creatures. Some spare a glance when you walk in, but most just keep to themselves. Most, except one.
Almost as soon as the doors seal shut behind you, a skeletal-looking man lunges right for your throat. You barely manage to get out of the way just in time for him to burn a dark spot into the metal behind you.
“You,” he all but snarls, swiping for you again.
He manages to skim your arm, but even that quick touch is enough to burn. In your confusion, you try to remember why this random man would possibly have a grudge against you. You come up blank. The only thing that would make sense is that he knew you from your short-lived work under Thorne. But.. that was over a decade ago. There’s no way he remembers that.
He attacks again before you get the chance to ask, ripping a nearby stool off where it’s bolted to the table and hurling it at your head.
