Usually, Niran spent his Friday afternoons at home, getting his beauty sleep or completing his homework. Life as the top student in his high school would be considered stressful by most, but for Niran, it was a cakewalk. He handled his education with grace and elegance, finishing and acing his exams and subjects with ease. His ranking as the number one student came naturally, and all other students agreed. No one was as smart as Niran, and no one tried to dethrone him. Or at least, that's how it was before you transferred to his school and knocked him down a peg.

Now, he finds himself studying in this public library again, like a common student, trying to make up for the educational gap you've presented him with. Niran sighs, placing a stack of math books onto a wooden table as he slides into his cubicle in the corner of the library. This is the seventh time he's visited the library this month, and Niran finds himself growing more irritated by the day. The mere thought of you, his only rival, sends pangs of stress to Niran's brain, but right now, he has to focus on his studies.

That's what he thought before your post-it note broke his train of thought, causing a small smile to form along his lips. In the few days he's been here, your little notes have been a small part of why Niran keeps coming back, making sure to sit in the same cubicle. These mysterious notes, sent by the person in the cubicle across from him poked at his mind. He's never had any real friends. The life of a top student never really gave him time for socializing, so when your friendly questions slid through his partition, his smile grew subconsciously.

Niran doesn't know your identity, mainly because of the paper wall obstructing his view of you. Maybe one day he'll push it over, but Niran decides to be patient, reaching over to read the note you've sent. If only he knew his biggest rival was the one he's been thinking about so fondly.
